grobrock-20190215-222440-3913.jpgHollenstedt is over and we are satisfied. The first new songs were well accepted and we are now going back to the rehearsal room, the next titles are on the way. That's why we make ourselves very rare live this year, but we'll come back with a completely new program in 2020, promised :-)

10.03.2019Tiny Tim's diary entry from 02.03.2019
2016_01_16_ipad_-519.jpgDear diary,
When I entered the rehearsal room at 10:10 a.m. today (yes, I overslept a bit), I immediately noticed the good mood and motivation of my two musical comrades-in-arms.
No stupid saying about my delay, no complaining about any pain, which is why we can only rehearse with half power today... fantastic!

After unpacking the equipment, setting it up, wiring it and tuning the instruments, we started working on our new song "Guten Norjeu "*.
For the first time we used the latest band investment: A brand new whiteboard with 4 pens, a shelf and a sponge, where we weren't so sure which side to use for wiping.... Never mind!
We coordinated the song, took notes and visualized the whole thing on the board.
Apropos "Whiteboard".... Neisi hung it up at the beginning of the rehearsal, which was very entertaining - at least for Joe and me.
Anyway, we played the first successful runs right away and noticed that the song had an eerie cult character even though it consisted of an unusual constellation of chords.
When we were so far satisfied and had done a little fine-tuning, Neisi and I decided that we were hungry and that we should put a sandwich in our stomach.
Joe, who had once again forgotten his lunch break, was provided with a packet of cookies by dear Big Neisi and then we went on.
We quickly recorded the newly worked out outro of "Guten Norjeu "* as a reminder and started with the next title.
First we unraveled the Magengruben-malträtierenden-Immer-Feste-Druff-Song (short MmIFDS) "Plum Puree "* into its individual components, discussed and noted it down, went brute and ... failed miserably...
After the second review of all parts of the song I lovingly explained to Neisi how to count to 12** and Joe that dynamic is not an explosive but rather the icing on the cake of the "I" and we tried it again... and again... and again... and again...
Then we concentrated on an instrumental part, which is very drum-intensive and has to be emphasized precisely by all participants...
... or it won't shock!
We took a short breather and agreed:
"The song goes off like shit!!!"
After the break we had more successful runs, but they gnawed at Little Joe's physical condition.
(This remark on my part he commented with: "pant - asshole!- pant).
When we were so far satisfied with our daily work and relatively sweaty, we sat down together and went through all the songs we had written but never played so far to plan our future setlist.
Dear diary, I tell you, there's a lot more to come. But we are confident and full of anticipation. We can hardly wait to share our new titles with the world.
At the end Little Joe annoyed again with strange, but in his opinion very good music. With this opinion he remained alone in our rehearsal room.
In order to bring this entry to an end, I would like to make a short note:
We had fun, were productive AND motivated... It felt a bit like our early days again. Just good.... just right... like in old times.
In this sense.... Until the next entry.
Keep your ears stiff!

Tiny Tim

*song title changed for reasons of secrecy
**Quotation of the day; Little Joe: "Do that up to where the two points are, then that's good!"

15.06.2017Sommer-Special
Bratwurst ... Beer ... Potato salad ...
This year's summer special is ready :-) The summer isn't quite ready yet, but that doesn't challenge us. We want to barbeque!
So, Bratwurst left, beer right, speaker up, here comes Grobrock: Grill'n
20.05.2017Termine
Moin Rockers,
there's a gig thing going on. Two more dates in Hamburg and Harburg are confirmed. We play on 23.06. in the Inselklause and on 28.07. in the Thomas Read. In between we rock Hollenstedt, in August the guys from MSC Ratekau and in October it's Marias Ballroom again. And some more gigs are still in progress, stay tuned, there's still something to come ...
17.04.2017Marias Ballroom
Moin Moin,

yes, we haven't heard from each other for a long time, we're sorry for that and we promise improvement. After the not uninteresting experiments with different singers we decided to continue in the original formation as a trio. It could be that one or the other already noticed this at the Schönberger Rocknacht last October ;-)
Anyway, the program for this year has been rehearsed and found to be good enough and so we go on stage again.

On 21.04.2017 we can be seen live in Marias Ballroom in Harburg, some tickets are still available.

Will we see each other?

2016

11.12.2016Ho ho ho ...

We go into hibernation now and tinker with new songs. Until then we wish you Rock'n'Roll and always a handbreadth Jacky in a glass.
Haut rein!
16.06.2016Phewy Finally summer after all ...
What about summer reggae rock? Once again we have finished a special. Grab a Piña Colada, a towel and off to the Elbe ... Or the Baltic Sea ... Or to the rehearsal room, just like us.
So, run speaker on full throttle, here comes Grobreggaerock: Mir ist so heiß
13.04.2016Finally warm again!
We've done it, and we've been out on a well-known song. Our spring hit 2016:

30.12.2014Neisi´s year-end blog
The year is coming to an end and GROBROCK wishes you a happy new year 2015.
2014 was an eventful year for us. Timmy, the Thöle Anderson left the band and we could win Steve as our new grobrocker. We played great gigs and could also make new friends. But after the year is before the year and so we look forward to the coming time with you and a lot of Rock´n Roll. Have a good time in the new year, see you!

Moin Moin!
Have you already heard the new album Rock or Bust from AC/DC? At least the official video of the song Play Ball is already haunting the net and Facebook. Simply fantastic! A few more days, then it's finally here.
A pro pos AC/DC: We don't know yet what will happen with drummer Phil Rudd, if he is still an official part of the band and will be on tour in 2015.

We wish you a nice rest weekend

Hello dear fan community,
I don't have much to report this week because we had rehearsal break. That means sleeping late on Saturday. Nevertheless I was not completely inactive. I once searched my drawer and found a text that I wrote a long time ago and tinkered with it a little. Maybe something will come of it.

I wish you a nice rest weekend.

Hello dear friends of Grobrock,
yesterday we continued to work on our new pieces and had the photographer Kathi Petras as a guest. There is a photo shooting coming up, but we won't tell you more yet, let us surprise you.
After the obligatory rehearsal lunch at McDonald´s Steve and I went to "Just Music" and informed ourselves about some new technical gadgets.

I wish you a nice rest weekend!

Yesterday we had a great rehearsal. Finally we get to write new songs again. Look forward to "Mieses Schwein" and "Klassentreffen", two really rocking songs!
Furthermore we are in the middle of planning for next year. After we've been working the surrounding area live lately, we want to play Hamburg directly next year. See you around.

We wish you a nice rest weekend!

For personal reasons, Timmy left us. We understand his motives and remain close friends. Our search for a new singer (after all, there are a few gigs to come) was quite successful to our great relief. And so we are happy to present you our new frontman Steve. The first songs are already sung and we are rehearsing with high pressure.
05.01.2014Support for 2014
We are proud to have won Chuck Banana & the All Nite Longs as support for our gigs in 2014.

Studio

Heiß wie die Hölle

There it is. After two years of planning, euphoria, resignation, sweat, beer and ambition, it's done. 17 songs means almost 74 minutes Rock'n'Roll at its best. All for you!

The CD can be purchased from Amazon. It is also available as a digital download, as well as on iTunes and most other shops. Your local record store can order it. And of course you get the CD in our shop or at our concerts.

The Four Seasons

From time to time Tiny Tim buries himself in the cellar with his guitar and comes up with strange ideas again. This is how the Grobrock specials (never really meant seriously) are made. Have fun :-)

And before you ask: No, we do not intend to release the specials on CD or to make them available for download. Whereby "Grill'n!" is at least included as a bonus track on "Heiß wie die Hölle".

About us

Grobrock: Rock'n'Roll is back!

Back to the roots and make Hamburg what it was 50 years ago: the Rock'n'Roll epicenter. The experiences of numerous performances in various bands have shown: The simpler the music, the greater the fun, both with the audience and with the band. We took these ideas, indulged our unrestrained passion and present ourselves, unabashedly, as our role models like AC / DC or Motörhead, however always independently and - most importantly - with German lyrics and with North German attitude!

At home we are between the harbors, the neighborhoods and the bridges of the North and Baltic Seas. We travel from Flensburg and Hannover, on the A1 and A7 ... and we especially like to rock in Hamburg.

We're going to infect Hamburg, then the North, and then the rest of the world with the Rock'n'Roll virus. Fun and humor are never absent. Partying and rocking is proclaimed!

Grobrock was founded in early 2011. Bassist "Big Neisi" had long ago the idea of a German-speaking rock band in the AC / DC style and found in "Tiny Tim" and "Little Joe" the appropriate co-workers. Grobrock wrote so far to the 50 songs - the first CD "Heiß wie die Hölle" is available everywhere in the shops since 17th of November 2017. Grobrock, that is, handmade live music without frills, direct, honest, straight-forward and convincing.

Tiny Tim (Guitar & Vocals)

Tim hatched in 1991 in Hamburg. He is responsible for the driving guitar sound and the distinctive "Johnnie Walker" voice. He is also in charge of everything that the two other older gentlemen do not like to do (carry the amplifier, make coffee AND bring to rehearsal ...). And if he overdoes it, he is tempered by the "oldies" with gentle emphasis (targeted punches work miracles). Tim loves his old "Flying V's" and can not imagine ever going on stage without them. He was previously a driving member and guitar player with Hephaistos (Heavy / Power Metal), also head of the Symphonic Power Metal duo Guardians of Forgotten Times and lead guitar player with Unveiled Phobia.

When the guitars are just hanging at the wall, Tim likes to take off his habit and explore Hamburg with his buddies. What he dislikes: If you are unfaithful to yourself. You only live once, so take everything you can!

Little Joe (Drums & Backings)

Joe was born in 1965. He sets the pace behind the drums. He has previously worked with Nycromatic (Celtic Folk Rock), Chain-Re-Action (80's Metal) and Admiral von Schneider (Cover Party Rock Show). At Grobrock, Joe is responsible for drumming, multimedia and web design. One of his good qualities is that he always keeps his promises. On the other hand, he is contentious and merciless - but only if he feels unfairly treated or Tim brings the coffee too late to rehearsal again. If Joe is not spanking his drums, he rides his Harley, tinkers on homepages and likes to travel (of course with the Hog). His slogan:
"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the goal of arriving safely and in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather shoving sideways, beer in one hand, cigarette in the other, the body totally worn out and cheering at the same time..."

Big Neisi (Bass & Backings)

Big Neisi also was born in 1965 in Hamburg - St.Georg, was baptized with Elbe water and bred with Labskaus. In the band he is responsible for the low notes and the more or less witty lyrics. Starting with regular electric guitar on bands like Bolts from the Blue and Hausmaister, he later found his destiny on bass with bands like Crystal Shark and Five Double Three. He values reliability - a "Fishhead" with passion and conviction, a real local patriot. A negative feature: No sausage vendor is safe from him. In his spare time he travels through Europe with his wife and his fire-red fun-mobile. What he does not like is disrespect and indifference. His slogan: Be your own cult!

Furthermore, user data is generally processed for market research and advertising purposes. For example, user profiles can be created on the basis of user behaviour and the resulting interests of users. The usage profiles can in turn be used, for example, to place advertisements inside and outside the platforms that presumably correspond to the interests of the users. For these purposes, cookies are usually stored on the user's computer in which the user's usage behaviour and interests are stored. Furthermore, data may also be stored in the user profiles independently of the devices used by the users (in particular if the users are members of the respective platforms and are logged in to them).

The processing of the user's personal data is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests in effective information of the users and communication with the users pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f). DSGVO. If the users are asked by the respective providers for their consent to data processing (i.e. their consent e.g. by ticking a checkbox or confirming a button), the legal basis for processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a., Art. 7 DSGVO.

For a detailed description of the respective processing and the possibilities of objection (opt-out), we refer to the following linked information of the providers.

Also in the case of requests for information and the assertion of user rights, we point out that these can be asserted most effectively with the providers. Only the providers have access to the data of the users and can directly take appropriate measures and provide information. Should you nevertheless need help, you can contact us.

Integration of third-party services and content

Within the scope of our online offer, we act on the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our online offer within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f. of the German Civil Code). DSGVO) content or service offers from third parties in order to integrate their content and services, such as videos or fonts (hereinafter uniformly referred to as "content").

This always presupposes that the third-party providers of this content perceive the IP address of the user, since they would not be able to send the content to their browser without the IP address. The IP address is therefore required for the presentation of this content. We make every effort to use only those contents whose respective providers only use the IP address to deliver the contents. Third party providers may also use so-called pixel tags (invisible graphics, also known as "web beacons") for statistical or marketing purposes. Pixel tags" can be used to evaluate information such as visitor traffic on the pages of this website. The pseudonymous information may also be stored in cookies on the user's device and may contain, among other things, technical information about the browser and operating system, referring web pages, visit times and other information about the use of our online services, as well as may be linked to such information from other sources.
